Synopsis:
Assistant director and Resistance member Jean-Devaivre (Jacques Gamblin) decides to work for the German-controlled Continental Films during the Nazi Occupation of France in order to infiltrate their ranks while free-wheeling screenwriter Jean Aurenche (Denis Podalydès) does everything he can to avoid any collaboration with Germans.
